The apostle Paul wrote, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow”. (1 Corinthians 3:6,7)
Life is full of surprises. Recently, I have been gardening and I was surprised to see a lot of volunteer sunflowers growing in my garden. I had left last years plants to winter in the garden before throwing them out this Spring. However, in the process, some seeds obviously decided they would create new life again this year. What a wonderful reminder of the teaching of Christ about the sowing of seeds. We plant seeds and we wait to see what grows. Sometimes those seeds take root and grow in surprising places.
