It was the joy of PI Canada to once again provide the youth team leaders for the youth program at the People International Gathering 2026! I asked them to each give their thoughts on serving as the youth team below:
“The Canadian youth ministry team had a blast serving the youth of People International at Connect 26. We ran a full program which included games, crafts, worship, teaching through the book of Romans, small group discussion, and even just space to hang out and build relationships. As I asked the team for highlights, time and again I heard how encouraged the team was by the youth. The youth were engaged in the Word, asking good questions, thinking through their faith, and praying fervently. They also sang so loudly during our worship times that their voices carried throughout the hotel (we didn’t have doors on our assigned room) so that the hotel staff and even the parents and workers elsewhere were encouraged! God was at work in the hearts and minds of each youth student there, and we were blessed to be used by Him to minister to these kids.” – Team Leader
“It was amazing to hear the youth praising God during our worship times, and it was great to see how well they all got along together.” – Team member
“The kids were so welcoming right off the bat, and I loved getting to know them throughout the week. We also met so many lovely people and got to hear stories of God’s work in their lives which was such a blessing and encouragement.” – Team member
“I was encouraged by the courage of these ‘M’ families not only living in a different culture, but living so differently in a Biblical way that they would stick out and be a beacon of the Gospel. This was reflected through the maturity of the youth that we led.” – Team Member
“I loved hanging out with the kids and getting to know them.” – Team Member
“I could see God working on each of [the youth girls’ and leaders’] hearts through our intentional small group time, and we all came away with something to meditate on.” – Team Member
